Route by car through Western Ukraine Lutsk - Shatsk Lakes - Svityaz - Novograd-Volynsky

The most interesting route through Western Ukraine, in our opinion, runs through places that amaze with their natural wealth and architectural ensembles of the Middle Ages. Car tourists should set their GPS to travel through historical places along the following route: Lutsk - Shatsk Lakes - Svityaz - Novograd-Volynskyi.

  • Lutsk. The city attracts tourists with the famous Lyubart Castle and other architectural monuments. City tours last 2-3 hours. Extreme sports enthusiasts will be interested in active recreation - kayaking on the Styr River. Here is the route: Lutsk - Shatsk Lakes (157 km). Shatsk Lakes are a group of 30 different lakes, and Svityaz is the largest of them. If you are traveling by car to relax in Volyn, you can stop at a campsite or simply on the shore of the lake.
  • Shatsk - Svityaz (6 km). If you have already arrived at Shatsk Lakes, you should definitely see Svityaz, the largest lake here. It is not only beautiful around it, but also useful to swim, because the water contains a lot of silver and glycerin. By the way, it is the deepest lake in Ukraine.
  • Svityaz - Novograd-Volynskyi (180 km). After relaxing on the lakes, you can drive to Novograd-Volynskyi in two hours. There is something to see there: Zvyahelsky Castle, the church in Lebedivka and the convent in Gorodnytsia.

Why are road trips in Western Ukraine gaining popularity?

Auto tourism is gaining momentum. Sitting behind the wheel of a car, you can drive hundreds of kilometers in a few days. The most popular routes in Western Ukraine are equipped with gas stations, comfortable parking lots, and campsites where motorists stop to rest and admire nature.

Traveling by their own car, tourists have become practically independent of the infrastructure. All the necessary things, products, and devices fit in the trunk of the car. They take a tent, sleeping bags, warm clothes, and mosquito repellents with them.

The tourist's kit is supplemented with waterproof matches, a first-aid kit, a flashlight, and a power bank. It is easy to create a supply of products if you use freeze-dried food for road trips. It is light, varied, and prepared without special conditions. The well-known freeze-dried food manufacturer ЪDLO has taken care to provide motorists with a wide range of useful products.

Road trips to Ukraine can be planned and changed at your own discretion, using the advice of experts and your own GPS. If you prepare for the trip in advance, it will bring only pleasant impressions and allow you to visit different corners of Western Ukraine in a few days.
